# How to connect and setup your California Lightworks SolarSystem® Controller?

To begin, set the switch at the bottom of the fixture to controller mode. Then, connect the controller to the "IN" port on your SolarSystem light using the provided data cable. Plug your controller into a power outlet and turn it on. If you'd like to chain more than one light to the same controller, use the provided data cable and connect the "OUT" port of your first light to the "IN" port of the second light. Do the same if you have more than two lights. With your controller now connected to the lights, follow the steps shown in the attached video to set up your grow cycles!
