Setting up SolarXtreme® and SolarSystem® LED grow lights from California Lightworks is straightforward. Each product comes with two hanging V-shaped brackets and a single plug-in cord. For installation, you may want to get rope brackets, chains, or any secure system. It's important to securely fasten the lights to a stud in the ceiling or to a grow tray or tent with metal supports to prevent them from falling onto your plants. An adjustable system is recommended to easily raise and lower the lights as your plants grow.
SolarXtreme® Setup:
- Use the provided hanging V-shaped brackets and secure them to the ceiling or support structure.
- Plug in the power cord.
- Follow the hanging height suggestions provided for optimal light positioning.
SolarSystem® Setup:
- Similar to SolarXtreme®, secure the hanging brackets using chains or rope ratchets.
- The SolarSystem® includes a detachable power cord and a data cable for the controller (sold separately).
- Without the controller, use the two-position switch on "ALL ON" mode for basic operation. Adjust the light height to control intensity.
- With the controller, you can adjust intensity, spectrum, and access automatic functions. Ensure the controller is plugged into a separate circuit that remains powered when the lights are off. For that, you will need to have the two position switch on "CONTROLLER MODE".
- Connect the data cable from the controller's data port to the fixture’s input port. Use the output port on the first light to daisy chain additional lights, connecting to the input port on subsequent fixtures.
- Follow the hanging height recommendations for optimal performance.
