# Understanding LED grow light spectrum requirements in vertical farming

In vertical farming  where LEDs serve as the sole light source without supplemental sunlight, the choice of light spectrum is crucial for plant growth. Some suppliers offer lights with different spectrums tailored for different types of crops.
