# What are the advantages of MegaDrive for vertical farming?

Mega Drive offers several significant advantages for vertical or multi-level growers. Firstly, it provides vertical as well as linear fixtures available in different power levels, allowing growers to achieve the precise light intensity required.

A key benefit is that all drivers are removed from the fixtures and grouped in a centralized power supply "The MegaDrive" that can be located outside the grow room, which eliminates the heat generated by the electronics and extends the lifespan of the drivers. This design also allows racks to be positioned much closer to the bottom of the shelves, enhancing space efficiency. Additionally, wiring and controls are simplified since there are no data cables or extra wiring needed for each fixture.
