# What maintenance ensures the longevity of LED grow lights in a greenhouse?

Compared to HPS lighting, the maintenance required for LED lighting is minimal. With HPS lights, the bulbs needed frequent replacement due to loss of intensity and spectrum shifts, often occurring within 6 to 9 months. In contrast, LEDs retain their intensity and spectrum for 20 to 30 years. From a maintenance perspective, it is advisable to periodically blow off or wash off the LEDs, particularly if they are waterproof, to remove any dust, accumulated dirt, or sprays.
