Most LED fixture suppliers for greenhouses include an individual electronic driver for each fixture, either attached to or mounted near the fixture. This setup poses several issues. Firstly, the driver is sensitive to heat and humidity, making it problematic to place it directly in the sun. Secondly, it requires extra wiring to connect the driver and the fixture, and it generates additional heat in the grow space, which is undesirable, especially when the driver is positioned at the top of the greenhouse where temperatures are highest during the year. A remote driver, like the Megadrive, can be placed outside of the grow space or at least out of direct sunlight, eliminating all the above-mentioned problems.
